  • Comfortable athletic shoes
  • Comfortable socks
  • Tape measure
  • 2 sheets of paper
  • 1 sheet of carbon paper
  • Pencil
  • Baking soda
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

    Use the tape measure and have another person measure your feet while you are in the standing position: this will allow for the full expansion of your feet when pressed upon by your natural body weight. Take a length and width measurement.

    Put the piece of carbon paper between the two sheets of paper. Stand on the paper; have another person use the pencil and trace around your foot. Cut out the foot shape created. Put the cutout template inside the shoe and walk around for 5 minutes.
